Request Focused Code Reviews Before Merging
Late review feedback can delay releases and hide important defects. This skill guides Claude, Codex, or Claude Code to request structured reviews before work continues.
Stop for confirmation before installing.
Review the plan and obtain explicit user consent before changing files.
Install with my Agent
Copy this request to your Agent. It includes the canonical Skill page and manifest.
Review the Skillstore skill "requesting-code-review" from https://skillstore.io/skills/dyai2025-requesting-code-review.md and its manifest at https://skillstore.io/api/skills/dyai2025-requesting-code-review/manifest. Verify the artifact. Stop and obtain explicit user consent before installing or changing files.Your Agent should still show its plan and request any confirmation required by the security policy.

Expected outcome:
The review lists strengths, one Important issue about missing progress feedback, one Minor cleanup, and a with-fixes merge assessment.
Using "requesting-code-review". An engineering lead reviews a completed task batch against a plan.
Expected outcome:
The review confirms completed requirements, flags a test coverage gap, recommends a focused fix, and says whether work can continue.
Using "requesting-code-review". A release engineer requests a final pre-merge review.
Expected outcome:
The review checks readiness, highlights any blocking risk, and gives a clear merge decision with short technical reasoning.
Security Audit
SafeAll static findings were false positives after context review. The shell snippets are visible local git commands for selecting review ranges, and the markdown backticks are formatting. The bundled archive was manually inspected and contains only SKILL.md.

Skillstore Score
Why this score Evidence Confidence: MediumWhat You Can Build
Check Feature Completion
Request a review after building a feature to confirm it matches the plan and has enough tests.
Validate Task Batches
Review each completed batch in a larger plan before starting the next batch.
Prepare for Merge
Use the reviewer prompt to find blocking issues before a pull request reaches final approval.
Try These Prompts
Use the requesting-code-review skill to review my latest change. Compare the implementation with the task requirements and report Critical, Important, and Minor issues.
Request a code review for the range from BASE_SHA to HEAD_SHA. Check correctness, tests, architecture, and merge readiness.
Use the code-reviewer template to compare the completed work against this plan. Include file references, why each issue matters, and how to fix it.
Run a production readiness review for this feature branch. Prioritize security, data loss, breaking changes, missing tests, and requirements gaps before giving a merge verdict.
Best Practices
- Run the review after each meaningful task or feature, before new work depends on it.
- Provide clear requirements, base SHA, head SHA, and a concise implementation summary.
- Fix Critical and Important findings before continuing unless you can justify a technical exception.
Avoid
- Do not ask for review without giving the reviewer a specific git range or requirement source.
- Do not treat style comments as blockers when functional or security issues are absent.
- Do not ignore valid review feedback because the change seems small.
