Explore Distinct UI Variants
Choosing a UI direction from one implementation limits useful comparison. This skill builds distinct, working variants in a live picker before integration.
Install with my Agent
Copy this request to your Agent. It includes the canonical Skill page and manifest.
Review the Skillstore skill "prototype" from https://skillstore.io/skills/emilkowalski-prototype.md and its manifest at https://skillstore.io/api/skills/emilkowalski-prototype/manifest. Verify the artifact. You may proceed after verification, subject to the environment's own policy.Your Agent should still show its plan and request any confirmation required by the security policy.
Agent-readable resources
Use these links when an AI agent, crawler, or script needs clean context instead of reading the full page.
Test it
Using "prototype". Prototype three account deletion confirmations.
Expected outcome:
- Guarded: explicit warning, typed confirmation, and restrained motion.
- Progressive: consequences appear before the destructive action becomes available.
- Contextual: account impact and export options sit beside the final action.
Using "prototype". Keep the Dense variant.
Expected outcome:
The Dense variant is integrated using the project's existing conventions. The temporary prototype surface is removed.
Using "prototype". Riff on the Editorial direction.
Expected outcome:
A new picker presents three editorial variations with distinct hierarchy, spacing, and motion approaches.
Security Audit
SafeAll 18 static findings are false positives caused by JavaScript, CSS, or Markdown syntax. The picker uses locally authored render functions in an isolated prototype, and no prompt injection, credential access, shell execution, or system reconnaissance was found.

Skillstore Score
Why this score Evidence Confidence: MediumWhat You Can Build
Compare Product UI Directions
Explore distinct layouts and interaction models for a product component before committing engineering time.
Prototype Within an Existing App
Build isolated variants that reuse the current framework, tokens, and frontend conventions.
Review a Decision With Stakeholders
Present working alternatives in a consistent picker with clear benefits and costs.
Try These Prompts
Prototype three distinct versions of a settings save button. Keep them consistent with this project and show them in the picker.
Prototype three notification center variants that differ in layout, density, and interaction model. Use realistic content and preserve accessibility.
Prototype five checkout confirmation variants. Explore quiet, editorial, compact, reassuring, and action-focused directions within the existing design system.
Riff on the compact variant with three new directions. After I choose one, integrate it and remove the prototype surface.
Best Practices
- Describe one component, its product context, and its required interactions.
- Name the design axes that matter, such as density, hierarchy, motion, or interaction model.
- Compare every variant live before selecting one for integration.
Avoid
- Do not request an entire dashboard or multi-page flow in one run.
- Do not treat color-only changes as genuinely different design directions.
- Do not promote a variant before checking its interactions and tradeoffs.
