Build Tested AI Skills
Unclear skills can cause agents to skip guidance or follow weak instructions. This skill helps authors create, test, refine, and verify reusable AI skills for Claude, Codex, and Claude Code.
Install with my Agent
Copy this request to your Agent. It includes the canonical Skill page and manifest.
Review the Skillstore skill "writing-skills" from https://skillstore.io/skills/codingcossack-writing-skills.md and its manifest at https://skillstore.io/api/skills/codingcossack-writing-skills/manifest. Verify the artifact. You may proceed after verification, subject to the environment's own policy.Your Agent should still show its plan and request any confirmation required by the security policy.
Agent-readable resources
Use these links when an AI agent, crawler, or script needs clean context instead of reading the full page.
Test it
Using "writing-skills". A draft skill description explains the full workflow in one paragraph.
Expected outcome:
The revised description states only the trigger conditions. The workflow details move into the skill body where the agent must read them.
Using "writing-skills". An agent skipped TDD because the task felt urgent.
Expected outcome:
The review identifies time pressure as the failure mode and adds a pressure scenario that forces an explicit choice before implementation.
Using "writing-skills". A skill contains long reference material and a reusable helper script.
Expected outcome:
The structure keeps core guidance in the main file and moves heavy reference or reusable tooling into supporting files.
Security Audit
SafeAll 176 static findings were adjudicated. The high-severity alerts are markdown examples, ordinary prose, safe skill-directory references, or a local Graphviz helper. No malicious intent, prompt injection, exfiltration, or arbitrary command execution was found.

Skillstore Score
Why this score Evidence Confidence: HighWhat You Can Build
Create a New Skill
Plan, draft, and verify a reusable skill before adding it to an agent library.
Improve Existing Guidance
Find weak descriptions, missing tests, and unclear instructions in an existing skill.
Review Skill Readiness
Check whether a skill has evidence, tests, examples, and deployment steps before publication.
Try These Prompts
Review this task pattern and tell me whether it deserves a reusable skill. Explain the trigger conditions and reasons to avoid creating one.
Draft the name and description for a skill about this workflow. Keep the description focused only on when the skill should be used.
Create three pressure scenarios that test whether an agent follows this skill under time pressure, authority pressure, and sunk cost.
Analyze these failed test transcripts. Identify the rationalizations, revise the skill guidance, and list the exact checks needed before deployment.
Best Practices
- Run a baseline pressure test before writing or changing the skill.
- Keep the frontmatter description focused on when to use the skill.
- Use supporting files only for large references, reusable tools, or examples.
Avoid
- Writing a skill because one session solved a one-off problem.
- Putting workflow summaries in descriptions that let agents skip the full skill.
- Adding untested instructions and assuming agents will follow them under pressure.
