  • Use full Japanese speaker names and bounded date ranges to reduce ambiguous matches.
  • Use speech keywords for AND searches and the meeting-name filter for meeting titles.
  • Keep official citation links and record dates; confirm publication lag before describing results as current.

  • Assuming an empty search proves that a topic was never discussed.
  • Treating one returned page as the complete result set.
  • Sending confidential information as search terms to the public API.

Do I need an API key or account?
No. The skill uses the public National Diet Library API without a login or API key.
What do I need to run the helper?
Python 3 and internet access are required. The helper uses only Python standard library modules.
Which records can I search?
The skill targets National Diet proceedings from 1947 onward. Choose individual speeches, complete meeting records, or meeting metadata.
Does it support Claude, Codex, and Claude Code?
The marketplace lists all three tools. Running the helper requires a host environment with Python execution and network access.
Are searches private?
Search terms are sent to the official API and included in the returned query URL. Do not submit confidential information.
Why are recent speeches missing or results incomplete?
Publication can lag by about one month. Requests also have record limits; use the returned next position to retrieve further pages.
