Installation context

Historical evidence

This report may not describe the currently installable artifact. Open the current Skill page for install guidance.

This report does not block or authorize the manifest or ZIP.

Most static findings are false positives caused by Markdown code fences, inline file references, and GitHub Actions template syntax. The secret references use GitHub Actions secrets rather than local environment reads by the skill. One real hardening issue remains: two third-party actions use mutable master refs in SKILL.md.

Risk findings

Confirmed security concerns are separated from items that still need review.

Confirmed security concerns (1)

RISK-001 Medium
Mutable GitHub Action References in Security Scan Template
The security scan workflow uses third-party actions on mutable master refs: aquasecurity/trivy-action@master and snyk/actions/node@master. Mutable refs can change without review and create CI supply-chain risk.
The referenced third-party actions are clearly pinned to master branches in the security scan example. This is a known workflow supply-chain risk, although it is not malicious intent.

Remediation

Suggested fixes recorded by this audit. Applying them is the maintainer’s responsibility.

  1. FIX-001
    Medium
    Mutable third-party GitHub Action refs
Pin aquasecurity/trivy-action and snyk/actions/node to trusted release tags or commit SHAs before publication.
  2. FIX-002
    Low
Long-lived AWS access key pattern in deployment example
Prefer GitHub OIDC with an AWS role-to-assume, and document required minimal permissions for deployments.
  3. FIX-003
    Low
Production placeholders can be copied without review
Label example domains, clusters, regions, namespaces, and notification targets as placeholders that must be replaced.
