This report does not block or authorize the manifest or ZIP.

Evaluated 534 static findings across 13 files. All detected patterns are legitimate usage for video production functionality. Shell commands (curl) are intentional API communication mechanism. Environment access is required for PEXO_API_KEY authentication. Network requests target only the official pexo.ai API. Filesystem access is limited to user config directory ~/.pexo. No evidence of malicious behavior, credential exfiltration, or command injection vulnerabilities.

Capability review items (4)
Medium
Shell Command Execution for API Communication
Scripts invoke curl commands to communicate with Pexo API. This is intentional design - the skill is a CLI wrapper for the Pexo video generation service. Commands use hardcoded API endpoints and API key authentication.
All curl invocations target hardcoded pexo.ai endpoints with Bearer token authentication. No user input reaches shell commands. Verified by reviewing SKILL.md workflow steps.
Low
Environment Variable Access for API Authentication
Scripts read PEXO_API_KEY and PEXO_BASE_URL from config file or environment. Required for API authentication.
API key access is standard authentication pattern. Key is used only for Bearer token in Authorization header to pexo.ai. No exfiltration detected.
Low
Filesystem Access for User Configuration
Scripts read from ~/.pexo/config for API credentials. Standard user-level config pattern.
Config file location is user-owned directory ~/.pexo. No system file access. Read-only for credentials.
Low
Hardcoded API URLs to Official Service
Scripts reference hardcoded pexo.ai endpoints. These are intended API targets.
All URLs point to official pexo.ai domain. Verified homepage and repository in SKILL.md frontmatter.

Risk findings

Confirmed security concerns are separated from items that still need review.

Confirmed security concerns (2)

RISK-001 Low
System Reconnaissance (Version Checks)
Scripts check for curl, jq, file utilities and OS information. Standard diagnostic pattern.
Version checks are diagnostic tools required to verify runtime dependencies. No data exfiltration pattern.
RISK-002 Low
Weak Cryptographic Algorithm Warnings (MD5/SHA1 in Comments)
Static analysis flagged MD5/SHA1 references. These appear in troubleshooting documentation discussing OSS signature algorithms, not actual crypto usage.
Flagged patterns are in documentation and error messages, not actual cryptographic operations. False positive rate is high for this pattern.

Analysis metadata

Audit model: claude

Analysis state: Complete

Scope is limited to the recorded files, lines, methods, and evidence. No runtime or sandbox execution is claimed.

Verify and export

The manifest and lockfile bind install artifacts to cryptographic hashes. This integrity claim is separate from the security assessment.
