81Plan UX Before Building
Teams often build interfaces before clarifying user goals, states, and constraints. This skill guides discovery and produces a design brief for implementation.
Simplify Interface Designs
Complex interfaces slow decisions and hide the main user goal. This skill guides Claude, Codex, and Claude Code to remove clutter, clarify hierarchy, and preserve needed functionality.
Copy this request to your Agent. It includes the canonical Skill page and manifest.
Review the Skillstore skill "distill" from https://skillstore.io/skills/pbakaus-distill.md and its manifest at https://skillstore.io/api/skills/pbakaus-distill/manifest. Verify the artifact. You may proceed after verification, subject to the environment's own policy.Your Agent should still show its plan and request any confirmation required by the security policy.
Use these links when an AI agent, crawler, or script needs clean context instead of reading the full page.
Using "distill". A dashboard has six primary buttons, repeated status text, nested cards, and three sidebar panels.
Expected outcome:
Primary goal: review account health. Keep one main action, merge repeated status copy, flatten nested cards, and move side panels behind clear entry points.
Using "distill". A checkout flow asks for account creation, promo codes, shipping details, gift options, and surveys on one page.
Expected outcome:
Essential path: complete purchase. Defer surveys, collapse optional gift details, keep promo codes secondary, and show account creation after payment.
Using "distill". A settings page uses many colors, mixed typography, repeated explanations, and separate buttons for similar actions.
Expected outcome:
Simplification plan: standardize type, reduce accent colors, remove repeated copy, group related settings, and expose one primary save action.
The only static finding is a false positive. SKILL.md line 61 tells the model to remove duplicated design copy. It does not request system, environment, host, network, or filesystem reconnaissance.

Find redundant UI elements and reduce competing actions while keeping the main task clear.
Simplify nested layouts, repeated components, and unnecessary variants before building or refactoring.
Separate essential user value from optional ideas before a design review or sprint plan.
Use distill on the current screen. Identify the primary user goal, list unnecessary elements, and suggest the smallest useful simplification plan.
Use distill for the target feature. Compare all actions and options, then recommend what to keep, combine, hide, or remove.
Use distill on the target workflow. Map the essential path, remove unnecessary steps, preserve accessibility, and document tradeoffs.
Use distill to review the target across layout, content, visual hierarchy, and component structure. Produce prioritized changes and verification checks.

Plan UX Before Building
Teams often build interfaces before clarifying user goals, states, and constraints. This skill guides discovery and produces a design brief for implementation.
Capture Project Design Context
AI design work often loses project context across sessions. This skill gathers evidence and saves reusable guidance for Claude, Codex, and Claude Code.
Design Better Onboarding Experiences
New users often leave when a product does not explain its value quickly. This skill helps design onboarding, empty states, and guided help that move users to first success.
Add Delight to User Interfaces
Functional interfaces can feel flat, forgettable, or frustrating during key moments. This skill helps Claude, Codex, and Claude Code add appropriate polish through copy, animation, feedback, and celebration patterns.
Extract Reusable Design System Patterns
Teams often duplicate UI components, tokens, and layout patterns across an application. This skill helps Claude, Codex, or Claude Code find reusable patterns and consolidate them into a maintained design system.
Improve UI Layout and Visual Rhythm
Crowded interfaces and repetitive grids make products harder to scan and trust. This skill guides Claude, Codex, and Claude Code through stronger spacing, hierarchy, and responsive composition.
Review Features Through Customer Personas
by Dami-Randle
Teams can miss usability issues when reviewing features from an internal perspective. This skill guides persona-based testing with Aftrac and Sirius customer viewpoints.
Design Distinctive Typography
by Crossbill-Highlights
Generic font choices can make polished work feel unfinished. This skill guides stronger font selection, pairing, contrast, and scale for Claude, Codex, and Claude Code.
Design Fluid Apple-Inspired Web Interfaces
by emilkowalski
Gesture-driven web interfaces often feel delayed, rigid, or visually inconsistent. This skill provides practical guidance for responsive motion, materials, typography, accessibility, and interaction design.
Design Better Software Interfaces
by mattpocock
A first interface idea can hide weak assumptions and unnecessary complexity. This skill generates distinct options, compares trade-offs, and helps select or synthesize a stronger design.
Model Post-Outcome UI Actions
by JohnWayneeee
Product teams often overload success states with unclear next steps. This skill turns user intent into scoped, prioritized UI actions after a meaningful outcome.
Improve UI and UX Design Workflows
by nextlevelbuilder
Interface work often needs consistent style, accessibility, and stack-specific guidance. This skill gives Claude, Codex, and Claude Code a searchable UI/UX reference for planning, building, and reviewing designs.
