# Connect TI News to Verified Research

Researchers often need to test whether TI news has reliable scientific support and relevant Colombian context. This skill links recent news with OpenAlex and Crossref evidence, then enriches eligible authors and venues with verified CvLAC, GrupLAC, and Publindex data.

## Limitations

- CvLAC has no public API, so profile checks depend on puntual web access and may fail or remain ambiguous.
- The skill does not prove identity from a name alone and does not invent missing DOI, metric, profile, or category data.
- It is designed for focused research monitoring, not mass scraping or unrestricted crawling.
- News quality, source availability, and current index data can change after the analysis.

## Best Practices

- Define tema, ventana temporal, región, profundidad y formato antes de iniciar.
- Exige una fuente y una URL para cada métrica, y conserva null cuando la evidencia no está disponible.
- Review CvLAC matches using name, affiliation, and research area before assigning a profile.

## Anti Patterns

- Do not treat a news headline as scientific evidence without a DOI or unambiguous publication match.
- Do not assign a CvLAC profile, cod\_rh, Publindex category, or metric from a name or inference alone.
- Do not request sensitive identity numbers or perform mass scraping outside the documented official domains.
