test-infrastructure
Build Real Test Coverage
Weak tests hide broken features and create false confidence. This skill guides Claude, Codex, and Claude Code to audit gaps, write meaningful tests, and maintain critical-path coverage.

Review the Skillstore skill "test-infrastructure" from https://skillstore.io/skills/cleanexpo-test-infrastructure.md and its manifest at https://skillstore.io/api/skills/cleanexpo-test-infrastructure/manifest. Verify the artifact. You may proceed after verification, subject to the environment's own policy.Your Agent should still show its plan and request any confirmation required by the security policy.

Test it
Using "test-infrastructure". Audit a repository with many small test files.
Expected outcome:
- Classifies several files as stubs because they contain few real assertions.
- Lists missing tests for authentication, API authorization, and database writes.
- Provides an estimated work plan ordered by user and business risk.
Using "test-infrastructure". Create tests for a contact creation API.
Expected outcome:
- Defines success, validation, authorization, and persistence cases.
- Requires checks that the saved record can be read after creation.
- Calls out missing fixtures or setup needed before implementation.
Using "test-infrastructure". Review ongoing test health before release.
Expected outcome:
- Flags slow or flaky suites that should block release decisions.
- Identifies obsolete tests and repeated helper code.
- Summarizes coverage movement and remaining critical gaps.
Security Audit
SafeAll 23 static findings were adjudicated as false positives. The external-command alerts are Markdown fences or hardcoded local test command examples, not executable Ruby backticks. The network and blocker alerts are illustrative local test examples and ordinary testing guidance, with no prompt injection or data exfiltration intent found.

Skillstore Score
Why this score Evidence Confidence: HighWhat You Can Build
Audit Product Coverage
Find empty tests, weak assertions, missing critical paths, and the highest value coverage work.
Design Release Test Plans
Prioritize authentication, authorization, database, API, and user workflow tests before a release.
Strengthen Feature Tests
Write meaningful unit, integration, and component tests while reducing unnecessary mocks.
Try These Prompts
Audit this repository test suite. Identify empty or weak tests, real coverage, critical gaps, and the highest priority work.
Create a test plan for the core product flows. Rank authentication, API authorization, database operations, user workflows, and error handling by risk.
For this feature, write tests with clear assertions for happy paths, failures, boundaries, and persistence checks. Avoid unnecessary mocks.
Review this test suite for slow tests, flaky tests, duplicated fixtures, weak assertions, and code that should be refactored for testability.
Best Practices
- Start with revenue, authentication, authorization, and data integrity paths before lower-risk behavior.
- Prefer assertions that would fail when the feature breaks.
- Run tests after changes and investigate failures before expanding coverage.
Avoid
- Counting empty test files as coverage.
- Mocking the behavior being tested when an integration check is practical.
- Writing broad tests with vague names and no meaningful assertions.
