  • Keep the submission log current, disclose missing signals, and distinguish estimates from observed referral traffic.

Which AI tools can use this skill?
The skill supports Claude, Codex, and Claude Code. Execution requires a terminal-capable environment, Python 3.10 or newer, and the external CLI.
Can I use it without API keys?
Yes. Page checks, verification, and logging work without paid keys. The report must identify missing paid metrics.
Which providers supply paid signals?
Glasser or AIsa supply many SEO signals, while GoAnyAPI adds traffic and backlink metrics. AIsa is required for questions and asked.
Does it submit my project automatically?
No. The CLI does not submit projects. Each proposed submission requires your approval of its destination and exact text.
Where does it store local state?
The documented location is ~/.backlink-guard for logs, cached paid answers, and previously observed networks. BACKLINK_GUARD_STATE changes that location.
Does a positive result guarantee SEO benefits?
No. Results summarize available evidence, not Google's verdict. Private sales, dynamic links, incomplete checks, and changing search results limit conclusions.
